Label Applicator
A label applicator used for sterilization is a hand-held or desktop device that quickly prints, dials, or applies special adhesive labels onto medical, dental or laboratory packs before they go through an autoclave or sterilisation cycle.
Key Uses and Functions
Tracking & Documentation: It prints or displays critical batch details—such as load numbers, sterilizer numbers, expiration dates, and operator initials—directly onto sterilization tape or pouches.
High-Tack Adhesives: It uses specialized high-tack or heat-resistant adhesives that stay firmly attached to paper, plastic, or Tyvek wraps before, during, and after high-temperature, steam, ethylene oxide (EO), or hydrogen peroxide processes without peeling off.
Efficiency: It replaces slow, hand-written labeling on sterilization pouches, speeding up preparation workflows in clinics, hospitals, and dental offices.
Process Verification: Many systems work alongside color-changing chemical indicators to confirm that a pack has been exposed to a specific sterilization method.
